May 1957 Foundation
Dec. 1967 Began management of bowling alleys
Dec. 1972 Foundation of current Maruhan Corporation
Oct. 1988 Changed company name to Maruhan Corporation
Jul. 1995 Opened Maruhan Pachinko Tower Shibuya
Aug. 1996 Established pachinko prize distributor MM International Co., Ltd.
Oct. 1999 Changed company name to Maruhan Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2000 Opened Shin-Bungeiza cinema in Ikebukuro
Feb. 2002 Commemorated the opening of 100 pachinko halls
Oct. 2002 Established Tokyo head office. Started dual head office system at Kyoto and Tokyo.
Apr. 2003 Transferred food and drink operations to a separate company M Foods Co. Ltd.
Jan. 2004 Opened Maruhan's first dedicated slot hall (Maruhan Slot Junna)
Jan. 2005 First company in the Pachinko industry to exceed ¥1 trillion in sales.
Established Maruhan Business School at Izu Kogen
Mar. 2005 M Foods Corporation opens Zoka Coffee (first in Japan)
Jun. 2005 Ceremony of 1 trillion yen sales achievement
May 2007 Celebration of 50-year anniversary in May 22 of establishment of the company
